Score one for the Constitution

While Attorney General Gonzales may be way off track in general in regards to the courts' role in protecting the Constitution and limiting the government, he and the rest of the Bush Administration are apparently not completely immune to criticism, as shown by their back-tracking on their warrantless wire tapping scheme.

The Bush administration, in what appears to be a concession to its critics, said today it will allow an independent court to monitor its electronic-eavesdropping program.

Key word: allow.

Isn't it kind of them to allow some sort of oversight?
